Brand Messaging & Voice Guide
A voice your whole team can write in — even the people who “aren’t writers.”
Positioning, messaging pillars, and a voice guide people actually use. We nail what you stand for, who it’s for, and the words you do and don’t say — then I write the examples that show, not tell. The deliverable founders forward to every new hire.
- Every page sounds like a different company
- New hires can’t “get” the voice
- You’re scaling content and need guardrails
- A rebrand or fresh round of funding
- Positioning & messaging architecture
- Value propositions by audience
- Voice principles with do/don’t examples
- Tone-shift guidance by context
- A glossary (and a banned-words list)
- Worked rewrites of your real copy
For: Brands that sound different in every channel and want to sound like one company.
Common questions
Six steps: scope, dig, message, draft, sharpen, hand off. I do the heavy lifting; you do a kickoff call, share access to reviews/analytics/customers, and give feedback at two checkpoints. Most clients spend 3–4 hours total across a project.
Projects are quoted as a flat fee after a scoping call, so you know the number before you commit and I’m never penalized for working fast. Website copy starts from $4,500; brand voice from $6,500; email from $3,800; long-form from $1,200/piece. A day rate ($1,800) is available for workshops, audits, and rush work.
Final copy in a shared doc (with margin notes explaining the choices), full usage rights on delivery, and a short Loom walking through it. For brand-voice projects you also get the guide as a polished PDF your team can actually use.
