Questions, answered straight.
Process, pricing, timelines, revisions, who owns the copy, and yes — whether a robot wrote any of this. (It didn’t.)
Six steps: scope, dig, message, draft, sharpen, hand off. I do the heavy lifting; you do a kickoff call, share access to reviews/analytics/customers, and give feedback at two checkpoints. Most clients spend 3–4 hours total across a project.
Projects are quoted as a flat fee after a scoping call, so you know the number before you commit and I’m never penalized for working fast. Website copy starts from $4,500; brand voice from $6,500; email from $3,800; long-form from $1,200/piece. A day rate ($1,800) is available for workshops, audits, and rush work.
A landing page is usually 2–3 weeks; a full site 3–4; brand voice 3–5; an email sequence 2–3. Rush timelines are possible at a day rate when my calendar allows. Good copy needs a little marinating — I’ll always tell you the honest timeline up front.
Two full rounds, built into every project. Because we agree on strategy and message before I write, revisions are almost always refinements, not rewrites. Further rounds are billed at the day rate, but they’re rare.
Final copy in a shared doc (with margin notes explaining the choices), full usage rights on delivery, and a short Loom walking through it. For brand-voice projects you also get the guide as a polished PDF your team can actually use.
I use AI the way a chef uses a food processor — for prep, never for the dish. Research synthesis, alternates, gut-checks: sure. The strategy, the voice, and the lines that matter are human, on purpose. You’re hiring judgment, not autocomplete.
You do, fully, on final payment. I may show anonymized excerpts in my portfolio unless we’ve signed an NDA or you’d rather I didn’t — just say the word. Discretion is part of the job.
DTC and SaaS brands who have something genuinely good and are tired of describing it like everyone else. I’m a great fit for founders and lean marketing teams who want a strategic writer, not a pair of hands. I’m a bad fit for “just make it pop” and copy-by-committee.
Yes — monthly retainers from $3,500 for clients who need a steady cadence of email, long-form, or landing pages. We usually start with a project so we both know it’s a fit, then move to retainer if it makes sense.
Fill out the Start a Project form (it’s short and, fair warning, written with personality). I reply within two business days with availability and next steps, and if we’re a fit, we book a scoping call.
